Shack Bay Brewing Secures Future Home in Inverloch as Next Chapter Begins

Following an incredible few weeks that saw Shack Bay Brewing named Australia’s Champion Nomad Brewer at the 2026 Australian International Beer Awards, we're proud to announce the next major step in our journey... Shack Bay Brewing has secured a venue in the Inverloch Industrial Estate.

What started as a passion project, brewing award-winning beer through our brewing partners while searching for the right home, is now becoming something much bigger. The vision has always been simple, create a brewery that belongs to the local community and produces exceptional beer right here on the Bass Coast. 

The success of our recent awards has given us even greater confidence that we're on the right path. With a Gold Medal for our Pale Ale, Silver for our Hazy IPA, Bronze for our IPA, and the honour of being recognised as Australia's Best Nomad Brewery, the next phase is clear... bringing production home to Inverloch. 

Over the coming months, work will begin on transforming the Dixon Street site into the future home of Shack Bay Brewing. The initial stage will focus on establishing brewing production and creating a welcoming space where locals and visitors can enjoy fresh beer straight from the source. Our goal is to have brewing operations underway by summer, marking the beginning of a new era for the brewery.

This isn't about becoming the biggest brewery. It's about creating something lasting for Inverloch, a local venue built around great beer, good people, and a genuine connection to the community that has supported us from day one.
