Pop Up Bar Essentials
Share
Pop-up bars are becoming a staple of the Bass Coast craft beer scene, and in a coastal town like Inverloch, flexibility and atmosphere are everything.
At Shack Bay Brewing, we created our Inverloch pop-up bar by converting a cool room trailer into a mobile craft beer bar, complete with a full tap range pouring fresh, local beer. The result? A simple, efficient setup that delivers brewery-quality beer wherever we park it.
Start With Cold Beer (Always)
Using a cool room trailer meant consistent temperatures, reliable service, and room for multiple taps — essential for any Bass Coast brewery running a pop-up. No ice, no compromise.
Design for Inverloch Weather
A marquee provided shelter from sun and coastal wind, allowing us to trade comfortably throughout the day and into the evening — no matter what the weather decided to do.
Keep Seating Casual & Social
We opted for hay bale seating with blankets, paired with wine barrels and umbrellas for shade. It kept the vibe relaxed, encouraged people to linger, and suited Inverloch’s laid-back, beachside feel.
Why This Works
This style of pop-up bar is:
-
Cost-effective
-
Fast to set up and pack down
-
Perfect for craft beer
-
Ideal for regional towns like Inverloch
For Shack Bay Brewing, it’s about bringing local Bass Coast craft beer into the community — creating a space where people can gather, unwind, and enjoy fresh beer without the formality of a permanent venue.
